Information You Send
A name, phone number, or address entered in a search form is sent to the outside service that returns those results. New Windsor Residents Directory does not retain a copy of those searches. A message sent to the operators contains only the information in that message and is used to respond.
Automatic Technical Data
Hosting systems may create ordinary logs with an IP address, browser type, viewed pages, and timestamps. Aggregate review helps maintain the service and understand use of its pages. Cookies or comparable tools may support basic analytics and, where applicable, advertising measurement.
What We Do With This Data
The limited data supports operation, troubleshooting, traffic measurement, and page improvement. Visitor lists are not sold, and the service does not create profiles of individual visitors.
Links to Other Websites
Links lead to town, county, and state records portals, libraries, archives, and outside search services. The policy of the destination controls information submitted there, including information submitted through sponsored results.
Who Might See Your Data
Hosting and support providers process server logs for the service. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic technical data described above. Information is disclosed only when a valid legal process requires it.
How We Protect Your Data
The service uses an encrypted connection and retains logs only for the operating purposes described here. Because there are no site accounts, it does not hold a visitor password or user profile.
Users Under 18
This reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. Personal information from someone under 18 is not knowingly collected. Contact the operators if a minor has sent information so it can be removed.
Your Data Rights
Visitors may ask about personal data held in a contact mailbox or server log through the Contact page. New York's SHIELD Act addresses private-information security and breach duties, but it is not a general deletion path for lawful government records. New York Freedom of Information Law, Public Officers Law Article 6 §§84–90, governs access to agency records. A correction or confidentiality request for a town, county, or state record belongs with that record's custodian.
Updates to This Policy
